Little Victories - CPAP Removal

Today (well, actually yesterday as it is currently 2:15 AM) was a big day for Asher — the CPAP was finally removed.  What does this mean?  This means that he is fully off of oxygen assistance!  As you can see from the photo above, it was replaced with a much more comfortable piece that helps keep his lungs inflated.  Ash had been tugging on the CPAP for a few days now and was very excited to have it off.  So was I as he was now, slowly, starting to look like a “normal” baby and less like a science project.

Tomorrow (well, actually today as it is now 2:25 AM), we hope to have confirmation of his transfer date.  Stay tuned…

If you haven’t left Asher a note, do so here.  We’ve been blown away at the number of people thinking about our little guy.
