Sending Jadyn Home

In the midst of all the little victories, we had to say goodbye to Jadyn this afternoon as she left with Grandma for home. I know that everyone will benefit from the departure, but it was pretty hard on a mother who already feels as though she has neglected her little girl. Jade has done very well with everything, but you can tell it is wearing on her.

Thankfully, we’ve got a great support team back home to take care of things. Probably the biggest blessing for me personally has been everyone at American Specialty. It is extremely hard for me to ever truly be “out of the office,” but because of those back home, I have been able to focus on the chaos here rather than the chaos of my inbox.

We are taking it easy this afternoon and will plan on spending most of the evening with Asher. The next couple of days will probably be the most trying as we wait for the Doc to give us the thumbs up for the transfer - I hate, hate, HATE waiting….

Hi! I am looking at Jadyn’s trip home as a positive sign that you are one day closer to coming home yourselves with Asher! =] I am sure it was hard to tell her good-bye but I can promise you we will “LOVE HER UP” until you are here to do it yourselves! Miss you!

CJ…please give Andrea a hug for me. I’m sure today was difficult for both of you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do!
    Love you all!

Wow! God’s really bookin’ on this one! I LIKE it when he works fast!
I know how you feel about Jadyn. Every year since Eve was 1 year old I have sent my children (who are at least 1) to stay with my parents in AL for 1-2 weeks. I always feel horrible about it, wonder how they will make it without me, and feel guilty for leaving them. Well, they do GREAT every time. Grammy & Pop love them and that’s enough for them to feel safe and secure at all times. I miss them, but honestly, I surprise myself every time and enjoy the break thoroughly. Their time is AL is coming up in a couple of weeks and I’m starting to get anxious, but I know it will be great for all involved. Mike, on the other hand, counts down the days. He says he misses them, but I don’t know…

Thanks for the comments, ladies. Jadyn called us tonight before bed. She seems to be doing ok, but Grandma tells us that Jade will randomly say, “I miss Mommy.”

Jonathan and I were coming home from dinner at Biaggies and saw lights on at your house. We stopped and got to spend a few minutes talking to Cassandra and loving on Jadyn. It was sooo good to hear Jadyn say “Aly & Jonathan are coming” and have her in our arms getting hugs. Now we’re looking forward to the homecoming of the rest of the family. :)

Jadyn was wonderful all of the way home. We had to stop a lot, of course, but each time she was ready to get back in the car and go to “Grandma’s house”. Cassandra has a wonderful story to tell of what she said when she went into her own house…but I will let her tell it! She is beautiful and being so good!! Each time she says that she wants her mommy, I tell her that her mommy wants her, too, and will be here in just a few days. Then she just smiles and says “o.k.”. I also want to speak to my beautiful new grandson….Asher James, you are an amazing miracle and have already filled our lives with so much love and promise….God is so good! Just to touch you filled me with awe….I love you more than there are words to express. Andrea, I am so proud of you…how you are handling all of this. I love you. CJ, thank you for loving your family…there is no better gift that you could give to me. You are all in my prayers and I am so thankful to our Lord God for answering all of the prayers of His believers so quickly. We will see you in just a few days!
Love, Mom, Mom-in-law, and Grandma :)
