I’m Getting Older, Kids Are Getting Richer

With every passing year, I become more and more older than these young kids who will be earning millions in guaranteed contracts in the next few years.  I can’t imagine what is going through their heads as they go from College Freshman to NBA Millionaires.  This is what they’ve been dreaming for since they were little AAU stars on the court.  I wonder if they ever wanted to grow up to be something different.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Hmmm… I wanted to be the usual: Astronaut, Firefighter, GI Joe…just to name a few. But, really there were two that I seriously pursued. One was a doctor. I was in Pre-med for a year. Going into medicine for the money is really the wrong way to go about it! Secondly, a Marine Biologist. I love the water. As a certified SCUBA diver, I’ve dove in Mexico, the Keys and scummy ponds here in Indiana. I’m still hoping I can pull of a retirement career diving… We’ll see…

I’ve always wanted to be a rockstar. Problem is that I don’t play an instrument and I have a terrible voice. *sigh*

@Brook - I could totally see you as a GI Joe - that’d be hot.

@Brad - it seems as though your little girl has taken over your dreams to be a rockstar

@Clayton - no, no, no - I want to be Clayton when I grow up!!!
