Quick Asher Update - Coming Home?

Don’t get too excited - we aren’t there yet, but we do have some good news.  Asher was able to hold his temperature on his own the entire night outside of the incubator!  As you may know, this is the last step he needs to climb before the hospital will release him. As part of being out of the incubator, he will undergo 12 hours of sleep study tonight.  This will, more intensely, monitor his breathing and heart rate patterns to see if he needs a sleep apnea monitor at home.

Andrea and I are growing very restless and would appreciate your thoughts and prayers through the next few days.  I have a feeling Asher’s first few days home will be a whole new level of stress for us as well.

Pretty crazy to think that Asher has gone
in such a short amount of time.

First and foremost I want you to know that I am praying for you and your family.

Second, You mentioned in your post that you think Asher’s first few days of home will be a new stress level for you and Andrea. That may be true, but I really believe there will be a huge heaping helping of GRACE and LOVE just pouring all over, and all around you (and will be praying for that very thing.)

Congratulations on progress, and I cannot wait to hear the next report!

    CJ and Andrea,
We enjoyed hanging with Jadyn the other night, and cannot wait to hang with Asher as well. I will continue to pray for you as I travel, and trust that he will be home soon. May God give you both a spirit of peace as you trust him and his timing.
