Spending The Night At The Hospital - Asher Coming Home
By CJ Mills on Jun 17, 2008 in asher
I don’t have much time to post here, but wanted to let you all know that Andrea and I will be staying overnight at the hospital with Asher. They are a little concerned about sleep apnea and want us to stay overnight to learn how to manage the machines he will be hooked up to for the next few weeks. The good news of all of this is that if it goes well, Asher will be coming home tomorrow.
The bad news about all of this is that I am work is extremely busy right now and stress levels are high. The added news of having to learn how to be a Junior Varsity NNICU nurse does add a bit more.
Tune into my twitter feed on the right for a play-by-play of the night and ensuing morning.
I can totally relate to this video!!!

CONGRATULATIONS on the huge step forward today! Knowing that you will all finally be “HOME” is great news! I continue to pray for strength for all of you each day and I believe that having everybody at home will prove to be an amazing source of peace and rest for all of you, even through the craziness of adjustments! CJ and Andrea, you are amazing parents! I am so proud of both of you! Your comment on Asher under the direct care of Jadyn made me laugh as I pictured her carrying her baby doll around in a football hold! =]

C.J. & Andrea: I’m praying you through this day–and, I know you will get through it!!! You may even laugh about all the craziness of this someday! Won’t you have a great story to share with Asher about his arrival on this planet!? Don’t let the monitor scare you– it may actually give you a little piece of mind—once you get used to it. I’m excited for you all–have a great day and take lots of pictures! Love, Aunt Laurie

Let me just say. You can handle the apnea monitor. Ruth was on one for a little while. While it can be loud and annoying, I’ve decided I would any other kids we have to be on one for a while. I slept so much better and wasn’t up checking to make sure Ruth was breathing like a paranoid dad like I did with Malachi.

I just read your twitter and realized he isn’t coming home today. I’m so sorry, it is difficult to have such excitement and then have it shattered. We are praying for you today!
