A Dad And His Son
By CJ Mills on Jul 8, 2008 in asher, parenting, photos
I think I have maybe one photo with Jadyn when she was a baby. This time around, I’m forcing Andrea to take photos of her favorite boys together, even if it means directing her the entire way! My wife is amazingly creative when it comes to our home, but she leaves the creative photography to me…if only she was as creative with a camera as this mom…

The wires attached to Asher monitor is breathing and heart rate. It was a little scary at first, but we are getting used to it. In fact, it helps us sleep better at night knowing that if something goes wrong, we (along with the entire neighborhood) will hear it alarm! So far it hasn’t gone off in a public setting….yet.
Do you have a particular picture you hold to with your mom/dad/grandma/grandpa? I can think of a few with my Dad. I hope my son will have a few with me that he will hold to as tightly as I do with mine.

Gosh — thanks. That is a beautiful shot! And…. your wife is ultra creative — she has to juggle two small children!
We could tell you story after story of the places Gavin’s alarms go off. He popped a lead off during church one Sunday and I paniced and ran all the way across the church — I could of just shut it off! We sleep through all the apnea/ low heart rate alarms as well as all his IV alarms. Oops. You just get so used to the noise!

Yeah man, I’m with you. I probably have 10 pictures of Lisa for every 1 of me. She’s getting better though.
That picture above though is awesome. Even if you did do some coaching Andrea deserves props for that one.

Awesome pic!
I have this one pic of my daughter when she was a couple of weeks old, sleeping on my chest in bed in the AM. I will always hold that picture and moment dear.

Just wonderful. It’s amazing how the web brings us together with such similar stories. Praise God.

CJ… Great picture. It speaks for itself.
My Dad and I took a picture together every Christmas up until I was about 30… Then only took 1 more before he died when I was 34(4 years yesterday as a matter of fact)… I need to find those for myself, and My son.

@Scott » Thanks bro, Asher is a continued reminder of God’s grace - that’s for sure!
@Polly » Thanks for the ego boost - my wife needed it! She wasn’t too pleased I made it sound like she wasn’t creative at all.
@Bret » You know exactly what I mean then.
@Clayton » you are exactly right - pretty crazy, which is why I love blogging!
@ckroboth » what an awesome memory created with those photos!

A little late, but I love this pic. I think I have one good pic of me with Asa so far. Thanks for mentioning this. I’m going to have Shannon do some photography for me.
