Not many people, other than my wife, truly knew how stressful the last few months have been or me at work. October is the largest month for my division for several reasons which don’t matter here. Now I don’t want you to think that I’m only busy one month out of the year because that couldn’t be further from the truth, but all the stars and planets align during the 10th month of the year and my stress level sky rockets. I become a jerk at work. I’m pushy, demanding and forceful - I’m not myself. There are many people from my place of employment that are reading this and probably laughing a bit because even they know it.

Well that is all changing this week. The weight has been lifted. The “busy season” is over and now I go back to normal “CJ” (who can still be jerk sometimes). I’ve really been tested this past month. Not only as a businessman, but as a husband, father and Christian. Heck, I’ve really been tested this last year. I’ve never really had to deal with the kind of stress brought about by Asher’s birth ever before. I’ve never had to deal with the kind of stress produced by this past month at work before. I’m stronger now. I’ve got thicker skin now. I now know the importance of a solid place to come home to after a long day at work. I know my kids love me for me and my wife is proud of me. I know who I am in the good and the bad.

Now we begin a new stress - moving. I’m sure you’ll be hearing a lot more about that in the weeks to come, so I won’t bore you with that now…
