I miss coaching. I’m not sure I’d be a very good coach for little kids though. I coached some great high school kids during their off season. Many of them were great players that went on to play college soccer and are doing great. There is something about being in the middle of a bunch of guys and girls who are on the “same team” and share the “same goal” with the person sitting right next to them. I love that about sports and I love that about coaching. Like I do with most things, we went a bit over the top with this team. We got a sponsor who bought us both home and away kits (jerseys, shorts, socks), bought us warm up shirts and multiple t-shirts. It was great. We built a website, posted post game highlight videos and even stats.  We even “created” a great logo for our team - Huntington United.

I hope at least one of my kids enjoys soccer so I can coach again.
